Sound Edge Application Software
Editing in the Waveform Editing Window
You can use SampleEdit to edit a waveform in the same way you would use word-processing
software to edit a document: for example, you can use the commands [Copy], [Cut], or [Paste].
First you select the waveform area that you want to edit, then you execute various commands
to affect that area.
Selecting the Area to Be Edited
To select a specific area of the displayed waveform, drag the mouse pointer through the area
to be selected.
1. Move the cursor to a point on the waveform. Press the mouse button at the start point of
the area that you want to edit.
2. Drag to the right, and release the mouse button at the end point of the area that you want
to edit. The selected area is displayed in reverse video (highlighted). The Region box in
the status bar displays the sampling number, from the beginning, for both the start point
and end point of the selected area.
£To select the entire waveform, double click on part of the waveform, or choose [Select All] from the [Edit]
menu.
£To increase or decrease the selected area, press and hold the <Shift> key and click in any location. The
selected area increases or decreases to the clicked location.
