Error Messages
An unexpected error occurred while
reading [pathname].
Displayed when the file with the specified pathname
cannot be read. Specify the correct pathname.
An unexpected error occurred while
writing [Pathname].
Displayed when the file with the specified pathname
cannot be saved. Specify the correct pathname.
Cannot find OPL4 RAM!
Displayed when attempting to start SampleEdit while
the RAM is not properly set .
Cannot open more .OMP files.
Displayed when attempting to open another .OMP
file while several .OMP files are open.
Failed to create empty document.
Displayed when an attempt to create a new .OMP
file fails.
Failed to open document.
Displayed when an attempt to open a file fails.
Instrument No [Inst no] is changed from
[pathname] into [No Select].
Displayed when a .OPL file has been deleted or
moved to another directory after the .OPL file was
assigned in the Mapping window.
Loop size of [pathname] too small!
Displayed when an attempt is made to download data
with a loop size that is too small.
Loop size too small!
Displayed when the loop size is smaller than 1992
samplings during an attempt to set a loop start point.
Set the loop start point so that it is 1922 or more
samplings.
OPL4 WAVE RAM overflow!
Displayed when not enough RAM memory is available
during an attempt to do one of the following: Play
wave data with the MIDI soft keyboard or Play button;
assign a .OPL file in the Mapping window; click the
[Download] button.
Out of memory!
Displayed when not enough memory could be
reserved during an attempt to do one of the following:
open a file; execute [Cut], [Undo], or [Paste] from the
[Edit] menu; play wave data with the MIDI soft
keyboard or Play button; or click the [Download]
button.
[Pathname] wave data size too big!
Displayed when the wave data is bigger than 64KB
during an attempt to do one of the following: play wave
data with the MIDI soft keyboard or Play button; assign
a .OPL file in the Mapping window; or click the
[Update] button.
SampleEdit needs YAMAHA OPL4 Driver!
Displayed when attempting to start SampleEdit while
the YAMAHA OPL4 Driver is not properly set. For
details on installing the YAMAHA OPL4 Driver, see
page 14.
Select OPL file!
Displayed when a non-OPL file is selected while
assigning a file in the Mapping window.
Unexpected file format.
Displayed when specifying a pathname SampleEdit
does not support, and attempting to open it.
SampleEdit can read three types of files: .OPL, .WAV,
and .OMP. SampleEdit is compatible with the
following wave data: 8 or 16 bit; 11.015, 22.050 or
44.1kHz sampling; monaural. Any file with a different
format cannot be read.
Wave data size too big!
OPL max data size 65536 bytes.
Save anyway?
Displayed when the data size is too big during an
attempt to save a file.
