Sound Edge Application Software
Zoom Function
You can use the [Zoom] menu to magnify the waveform to make it easier to see, or to quickly
display the entire waveform.
1. Select the waveform area that you want to magnify. To select the area, drag the mouse
pointer through the desired area. The selected area is displayed in reverse video.
2. Choose [Zoom In] from the [Zoom] menu. The selected area is magnified.
£The percentage of magnification depends on the size of the selected area.
£To display the size before the zoom-in, choose [Zoom Out] from the [Zoom] menu. To display the entire
waveform, choose [Unzoom] from the [Zoom] menu.
Waveform Audition
Click the [Start] button in the toolbar to play the wave data to be edited. Click the [Stop] button
to stop playing the wave data.
£Concerning the MIDI channel, velocity, transpose, and program change number items set in the [MIDI] menu
take effect. For details on the [MIDI] menu, see page 44.
£By clicking on the MIDI soft keyboard, you can audition the sound on a musical scale. For details, see page 57.
£When you click the [Start] button, sound is produced by downloading the wave data to the RAM of the internal
tone generator (OPL4). If data of an OMP file was previously downloaded into the RAM, that previously downloaded
data is erased. If you want to replay the erased data, download the data into the RAM again.
