Sound Edge Application Software
Setting the Loop Point
The loop function enables you to repeatedly play a part of a waveform between two points.
You can use the loop function to produce sound as a musical instrument by continuously
playing short wave data.
You can set the start point at any desired location. The end point is always fixed at the end of
the data.
1. Move the mouse cursor to the desired loop start point on the waveform.
2. Click the right mouse button. The loop start point is set. The loop start point is indicated by
a triangle (the loop pointer). The Loop box in the status bar displays the sampling number
from the beginning of the waveform.
£The loop start point must be set at one or more samplings from the beginning of the waveform. The size of the
loop from the loop start point to the end point of the waveform must be 1992 samplings or more. The initial value of the
loop start point is set at 1 sampling.
Setting Parameters for the Internal Tone Generator (OPL4)
You can control various parameters, such as LFO and envelope settings, that are indispensable
to wave editing.
1. Click the [Parameters] menu. The Parameters dialog box appears.
2. Set the desired parameters in the Envelope, Common, and Effects boxes.
£For details on each parameter, see page 48.
3. Click [OK] to apply the settings.
