If
a
tire
treadshowscrosswiselines,
it
means
thatthe
tire
is
wornto
its
limit.Replacethe
tire.

Replace

ring,spring
seat,
stopperringandrubbercap.
E.FrontForkOil Change
1.
Raise
themachineorremovethefrontwheel
so
thatthere
is
noweightonthefrontendof
themachine.
2.
Removethe rubber capfromthetopofeach
fork.
3.
The spring
seat
and springs
are
retainedbya
stopperring(springwire circlip). It
is
necessary
todepressthespring
seat
andforksprings to
removethe stopper ring. Removethestopper
ringby carefully pryingoutoneendwith
a
smallscrewdriver.
4.
Placeopencontainer under eachdrainhole.
Removedrainscrewfromeachouter tube.
CAUTION:Donotallowoiltocontactdisc
brakecomponents.
5.
Whenmostofthe
oil
hasdrained,slowly
raise
andlower the outertubestopump
theremainingoil.Itmaybenecessaryto
removethe spring
seat
andtopspringtokeep
themfromfallingoutwhen raising forktubes.
6.
Inspectdrainscrewgasket.Replace
if
damaged.
Reinstalldrainscrew.
7.
Pourspecifiedamountofoilintothefork
innertube.
Frontforkoil(eachfork):170cc

8.
Afterfilling, slowly pump the outertubesup
anddowntodistribute the oil.

SteeringHeadAdjustment
The
XS750D
steeringhead
is
fitted with taperedroller
bearings.
The
steeringassemblyshould be checked
periodicallyforlooseness.
Procedure
1.
Raise
frontendofmachine
so
thatthere
is
no
weightonthefrontwheel.
2.
Graspbottomofforksandgentlyrockfork
assemblybackward and forward,checkingfor
loosenessinthesteeringassembly bearings.
