different models of chassis.
13-Slot
● Digidesign Pro Tools Expansion Chassis, 13-Slot
● SBS (Bit3) 13 Slot Expansion Chassis — model DD23
● SBS (Bit3) 13 Slot Expansion Chassis — model 24-700-2-2
● SBS (Bit3) 13 Slot Expansion Chassis — model 240-2-2
● SBS (Bit3) 13 Slot Expansion Chassis — model 240-2-201
● Magma 13 Slot Expansion Chassis — model P13R
● Magma 13 Slot Expansion Chassis — model PCI13R
● Magma 13 Slot Expansion Chassis — model PCI-13-RX-400V (must have serial number PE01732 or higher)
Note: 13-Slot Chassis support a total of up to 10 Digidesign cards - this may include up to 7 MIX Core/Farm cards, 2 d24 or MIX I/O
cards and any number of other Digidesign cards.
7-Slot
● Digidesign Pro Tools Expansion Chassis, 7-Slot (the SBS model DD007-R is available exclusively through Digidesign as
MH477)
● SBS (Bit3) 7 Slot Chassis — model DD22-1
● SBS (Bit3) 7 Slot Chassis — model 2101-00-2 (must use IBM PCI 2.1 compliant Bridge chips, with host card that starts
with 20-101)

Expansion Chassis Requirements
Customers should specify the following requirements when ordering:
● Requires 2 foot, 4 foot or 1 meter Expansion Chassis cable - 6 foot and 1.5 meter cables currently not supported
● When used with G3 or G4 computers the Chassis is required to have PCI 2.1 compliant bridge chips
● AVoption Users: Please read the additional AVoption Requirements
● AVoption|XL Users: Please read the additional AVoption|XL Requirements

Digidesign Card Requirements
DSP Farm cards: must be Rev H or higher (serial number FF09226 or higher) for compatibility with Expansion Chassis.
SampleCell II cards: must be Rev D or higher (serial number HH02001 or higher) for compatibility with Expansion Chassis.
Customers with older cards should contact their local Digidesign office.
