Expansion Chassis Information - Pro Tools III
● SBS (Bit3) 7-Slot model 2101-00-2 (must use IBM PCI 2.1 compliant Bridge chips,
with host card that starts with 20-101)
● Magma 7-Slot model PXB-7-RMD

Expansion Chassis Requirements
● Requires 2 or 4 ft Expansion Chassis cable - 6 ft cables not supported
● When used with G3 or G4 computers the Chassis is required to have PCI 2.1 compliant
bridge chips

Digidesign Card Requirements:
● DSP Farm cards: must be Rev H or higher (serial number FF09226 or higher) for
compatibility with Expansion Chassis.
● SampleCell II cards: must be Rev D or higher (serial number HH02001 or higher) for
compatibility with Expansion Chassis.
Customers with older cards should contact their local Digidesign office.
