SYNC I/O - MIX System Requirements

Digidesign is happy to announce that our new SYNC I/O synchronization device is now approved
to work with Pro Tools|24 MIX systems. SYNC I/O offers full integration with both Pro Tools|HD
and Pro Tools|24 MIX systems, offers instant recall of all settings with Pro Tools software,
features a greatly improved Word Clock for improved sound quality over the Universal Slave
Driver (USD), and features processor speeds that operate at 4x the speed of the USD.
To use SYNC I/O with Pro Tools|24 MIX systems you must follow these three steps:
1. Pro Tools 5.1.3 software is required
2. When the Pro Tools application is not running, you must manually set the Word Clock
out to 256x using the front panel button on the front of the SYNC I/O
3. You must connect the SYNC I/O's "Word Clock (1x, 256x)" out BNC connector to the Pro
Tools|24 MIX audio interfaces "Slave Clock In" BNC connector
Note: SYNC I/O's MachineControl ports are not functional when used with Pro Tools|24 MIX
systems.
