Edit Mode ON/OFF
The edit mode can be turned on or off via the [Edit Mode] command in either the [Tools] menu or
the contextual menu that appears when you right-click on the worksheet. You can also use the [Edit
Mode] button in the menu bar. To turn Edit Mode ON click the command, placing a checkmark to
the left of the command name. When there is a checkmark next to the command (when Edit Mode
is ON), clicking the command again removes the checkmark and turns OFF the Edit Mode.
Edit Mode=ON
When Edit Mode is ON, you can do configuration editing tasks such as arranging objects, making
connections, and changing properties.
Edit Mode=OFF
When Edit Mode is OFF, you can control the component editor, but cannot edit configurations.
When offline, Edit Mode is OFF.
Designer Window
You can display or hide the Designer window using the [Designer] command on the [View] menu in
the Main Panel window.
Title Bar
“Designer” is displayed on the title bar. You can move the window by dragging the title bar. There are
[Minimize], [Maximize]/[Restore], and [Close] buttons at the right edge of the title bar.
Menu Bar
Commands that can be executed in the application are collected into categories on the menu bar.
When you click one of the categories, a list of commands is displayed.
NOTE
Only users for whom the [Operation Security] [Edit] checkbox in the “Security” dialog box has been checked can turn
the Edit Mode ON.
