INSTALLING THE ENGINE

1. Install:

 engine mounting adjust bolts

 rear mounting bolts

 self-locking nuts

 collars

 front mounting bolts

 collars

 button head bolts

 pinch bolts

 Lubricate the rear mounting bolt threads with

lithium soap base grease.

 Do not fully tighten the nuts and bolts.

2. Tighten:

 self-locking nut

 front mounting bolts

 button head bolt

 pinch bolt M8

 engine mounting adjusting bolts

Use the pivot shaft wrench

and pivot shaft

wrench adapter

to tighten the engine mount-

ing adjust bolt.

3. Install:

 drive sprocket

4. Install:

 drive sprocket cover

Refer to “CABLE ROUTING” in chapter 2.

5. Install:

 shift arm

Align the punch mark

in the shift shaft with

the slot in the shift arm.
