TROUBLESHOOTING
The following messages appear on the TV screen in case the disc you tried to playback is not appropriate or the operation
is not correct.
Block noise (mosaic)
appears on the
screen.
Block noise may appear in fast-moving
scenes due to the characteristics of digital
image compression technology.
Sound or images are
not output properly.
The sound or image may not be output
properly when playing back a copyright-
protected disc.
Sound is distorted or
not output.
The RCA stereo cable is not connected
between the receiver and the BD player.
Connect the RCA stereo cable between the receiver
and the BD player.

The audio plugs are dirty. Clean the audio plugs.
The surface of the disc is dirty. Clean the disc surface.

The disc is damaged or dirty. Check the disc surface.

the USB BD STORAGE/SERVICE terminal of the
BD player.

The BD disc does not support BD-LIVE. Check if the BD disc supports BD-LIVE.

“BD Internet Access” is set to “Prohibit”. Set “BD Internet Access” to “Permit” or “Limit”.

Messages Relating to BD disc and DVD disc
Error message Possible Error Remedy
Cannot play. The disc cannot be played back with this Player. Check the disc, and load it correctly.
Incompatible disc. If you load a disc which cannot be played with this
Player (i.e. a scratched disc), or if you load a disc
upside down, this message will appear, and the disc
tray will automatically pop out.
Check the disc, and load it correctly.
Occurs if the loaded disc cannot be played because it
is a non-standard disc or scratched, etc.
Remove the disc.
Cannot operate. Occurs if an operation is incorrect.
