Rear suspension spring preload adjustment
The rear suspension is equipped with two shock absorb-
ers. One is in the front

and the other is in the rear
2
of
the rear suspension assembly.
The spring preload can be adjusted by turning the spring
preload adjuster
3
on the front and rear shock absorb-
ers.

Be sure to have a Yamaha dealer make this adjust-
ment.
This shock absorber contains highly pressurized
nitrogen gas. It could explode by improper handling,
causing injury, or property damage.

Do not tamper with or attempt to open the shock
absorber.
●
Do not subject the shock absorber to an open
flame or other high heat sources, which could
cause it to explode.
●
Do not deform or damage the shock absorber in
any way.
●
Do not dispose of a worn or damaged shock
absorber by yourself. Take the unit to a Yamaha
dealer.
