Saving the Microphone Settings
All the settings (VOCAL/TALK pages) are saved together as a single file. Up to ten settings can be saved.
1 Call up the MIC SETTING MEMORY display.
[MIC SETTING] [H] (USER MEMORY)
2 Press the [6 ] (SAVE) button to save the file to USER.
For details on the naming and deleting procedures, refer to the Basic Operation
section in the Owner’s Manual.
VOCAL Page
MIC/TALK indicator
Indicates whether MIC (singing settings) or TALK (announcement settings) is active.
Pressing the [TALK] button toggles this setting.
INPUT LEVEL meter
Indicates the level of the microphone input signal. Adjust the [MIC GAIN] control so that
the INPUT LEVEL meter lights in green or yellow. Make sure that the meter does not
light in orange or red, since this indicates that the input level is too high.
3BAND EQ (selected by [A] or [B] button)
EQ (Equalizer) is a processor that divides the frequency spectrum into multiple bands
which can be boosted or cut as required to tailor the overall frequency response. The
Tyros4 features a high-grade three-band (LOW, MID and HIGH) digital equalizer function
for the microphone sound.
NOISE GATE (selected by [C] or [D] button)
This effect mutes the input signal when the input from the microphone falls below a spec-
ified level. This effectively cuts off extraneous noise, allowing the desired signal (vocal,
etc.) to pass.
The microphone setting memories are
contained and saved in a User Effect
File. For information about User Effect
Files, refer to page 138.
