You can play back music files stored on a Bluetooth
device (such as mobile device) on the unit.
Please also refer to the owners manual of your Bluetooth
device.
Note
To use the Bluetooth function, set “Bluetooth” (p. 41) in the
“SETUP” menu to “On”.
•A Bluetooth device may not be detected by the unit or some
feature may not be compatible, depending on the model.
You can transmit audio to Bluetooth speakers or headphones
using the MusicCast CONTROLLER app. The audio output can
only be selected from the MusicCast CONTROLLER app.
Connecting a Bluetooth device
(pairing)
Before you can connect a Bluetooth device to the unit for
the first time, a pairing operation is required. Pairing is an
operation that registers the Bluetooth devices with each
other beforehand. Once pairing has been completed,
subsequent reconnection will be easy even after the
Bluetooth connection is disconnected.
1 Press BLUETOOTH to select “Bluetooth” as
the input source.
If another Bluetooth device is already connected,
disconnect the Bluetooth connection before you
perform a pairing operation.
2 Turn o n th e Bluetooth function of the
Bluetooth device.
3 On the Bluetooth device, select the unit’s
model name from the available device list.
After pairing has been completed and the unit is
connected to the Bluetooth device, “Connected”
appears on the front display, and Bluetooth indicator
will light up.
Note
If the pass key is required, enter the number “0000”.
You can change the network device name of this unit that will
be displayed when connecting Bluetooth devices, from
“Network Name” (p. 41) on the settings menu.

Connect a paired Bluetooth device and start playback.
Check the following beforehand:
Pairing has been completed.
Bluetooth function on the Bluetooth device is turned on.
1 Press BLUETOOTH to select “Bluetooth” as
the input source.
Note
If the unit detects the Bluetooth device previously connected, the
unit automatically connects to the Bluetooth device after Step 1.
To establish another Bluetooth connection, first disconnect the
current Bluetooth connection.
