16.2 Check This Out First

Before you attempt to create the sysex message, please take the time to check the XG manual section

concerning Controllers and NRPN. It may be that the message you require can be input as a simple

controller message (which is both faster to transmit and easier to construct).

16.2.1 Standard Controllers

In particular the following parameters can be sent as standard midi controllers:-
