Setup Menu
13.2.1
Setup Midi
Opens the Midi Port Setup dialog allowing the user to select the midi drivers used to communicate with the
attached XG synth module.
Device Driver Lists
The three list boxes select the device drivers used for midi in/out messages.
The top list box shows the midi input device and the bottom two list boxes show the midi output devices.
Each list box displays the devices available on your system (refer to Windows help for installing Multimedia
devices drivers). Note if using multiple midi output devices (with an MU80/MU100/SW1000), the Midi Out A
port should be connected to the A port of the synth (SW1000 #1 Synthesiser on the SW1000XG).
The settings will be stored in XGEDIT.INI for use in future sessions..
13.2.2
Reverse Dial Action
If checked, the response of knobs and dials to vertical mouse movement will be reversed. This option is
provided for users who prefer displayed values to increase with vertical movement.
The state will be saved in XGEDIT.INI for use in future sessions.
13.2.3
Refresh On Load
If checked, the editor will automatically re-transmit its state to the synth on any midi file load operation. This
ensures that the attached synth is always in the same state as the editor. Users may prefer to disable this
option if they merely wish to view the contents of saved files.
The state will be saved in XGEDIT.INI for use in future sessions.
13.2.4
Change LCD Colour
Produces a standard Windows Colour selection dialog box, allowing the colour of the background colour of
controls to be altered.
The chosen custom colours will be saved in XGEDIT.INI for use in future sessions.
The first custom colour always reverts to the original XGedit colour, allowing the user to return to
XGedit defaults if desired..
13.2.5
Select Synth
Allows the editor to be swapped between the SW1000, MU100,MU80, MU10, MU50, DB50XG, SW60XG
and XGLevel 1modes of operation.
This action will also perform an XG reset of the attached synth.
The state will be saved in XGEDIT.INI for use in future sessions.
13.2.6
Plugins
Allows you to configure XGedit for your installed Plugin boards on the MU100R and SW1000XG.
Placing a check mark next to the installed plugin board will enable the features of that board within XGedits
voice, effects and controller lists
The state of each Plugin will be saved in XGEDIT.INI for use in future sessions.
