Gasohol
There are two types of gasohol; gasohol con-
taining ethanol and that containing methanol.
Gasohol containing ethanol can be used if
ethanol content does not exceed 10%. Gaso-
hol containing methanol is not recommended
by Yamaha because it may cause fuel system
damage or vehicle performance problems.

WARNING
POTENTIAL HAZARD
Improper care when refueling.
WHAT CAN HAPPEN
Fuel can spill, which can cause a fire
and severe injury. Fuel expands when it
heats up. If the fuel tank is overfilled,
fuel could spill out due to heat from the
engine or the sun.
HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD
Do not overfill the fuel tank. Be careful
not to spill fuel, especially on the engine
or exhaust pipe. Wipe up any spilled fuel
immediately. Be sure the fuel tank cap is
closed securely. Do not refuel right after
the engine has been running and is still
very hot.
