TROUBLESHOOTING

The power is

suddenly turned off.

The sleep timer is set. This is not malfunction. Turn on this unit and play

the source again.

[Auto Power Off] is set to [On]. Set [Auto Power Off] to [Off].

The clock setting has

been cleared.

The power cable has been disconnected. Connect the power cable, and set the clock again.

—

Sound is heard from

the speaker on one

side only.

Incorrect cable connections. Connect the cables properly. If the problem persists,

the cables may be defective.

There is noise

interference from

digital or radio

frequency

equipment.

This unit is too close to the digital or

high-frequency equipment.

Move this unit farther away from such equipment.

—

This unit makes a

snapping sound

when starting

playback or loading a

disc.

These sounds are not malfunctions of this unit but

are normal operating conditions.

—

No sound from the

subwoofer.

The subwoofer is not connected properly. Check that the subwoofer is connected properly.

The system settings

change

automatically.

When [HDMI Control] is set to [On],

operations of the TV (for example,

changing channels, etc.) changes the

system settings.

Set [HDMI Control] to [Off] or set the system again

by using its remote control.

The HDMI control

function does not

work properly.

[HDMI Control] is set to [Off]. Set [HDMI Control] to [On].

The HDMI control function is disabled

on your TV.

Refer to the manual supplied with your TV and

check the setting.

The automatic

lipsync is not

effective even [Lip

Sync] is set to [Auto].

The TV does not support the automatic

lipsync.

Set [Lip Sync] to [Manual] and then manually adjust

the audio output delay.

Radio reception

FM stereo reception is

noisy.

The antenna is connected improperly. Check the antenna connections.

The characteristics of FM stereo

broadcasts cause this problem when the

transmitter is too far away or the

antenna input is poor.

Try using a high-quality directional FM antenna.

Switch to monaural mode.

The desired station

cannot be tuned into

with the automatic

tuning method.

The signal is too weak. Use a high-quality directional FM antenna.

Use the manual tuning method.

The preset selecting

function does not

work.

The preset (memory) has been erased. Preset radio stations again.

There is distortion,

and clear reception

cannot be obtained

even with a good FM

antenna or an outdoor

antenna.

Multipath reflection or other radio

interference has occurred.

Change the height, direction, or placement of the

antenna.
