Clog/Dirty → Clean.

NOTE:

Removal all particles of mica and metal by

compressed air.

4. Measure:

● Commutator under cut

Out of specification → Replace.

Commutator under cut:

Limit 0.2 mm (0.01 in)

5. Inspect:

● Armature coil continuity

Out of specification → Replace.

Armature coil continuity:

Commutator segments Continuity

Segment - Laminations Discontinuity

Segment - Shaft Discontinuity

Brush holder inspection

1. Measure:

● Brush length a

Out of specification → Replace.

Brush length a:

Limit 9.0 mm (0.35 in)
