Our range of small 2 cylinder four stroke engines, from 25 to 8 horsepower, come

with features you’d usually expect on larger models: computer-controlled ignition for

smooth running, quick acceleration, great top speeds and excellent fuel economy.

For easy starting, ﬁrst time every time, Yamaha’s Prime Start System delivers the

optimal amount of fuel for combustion to each cylinder according to the engine

temperature. And with an auto decompression system ﬁtted on F15, F20, and F25,

pull starting even these larger engines in manual start conﬁguration is a breeze.

All engines in this range match sharp performance with sharp looks from Yamaha’s

latest cowling shape. A compact design is enabled by a redesigned intake system

F25-F8 FOUR-STROKES

which in turn also allows for a lower power head position delivering an improved

feeling of stability on smaller boats.

Smooth, Clean, Quiet – A unique air intake system and a water-cooled labyrinth

exhaust system combine with a long span mounting system to help provide a

smooth, quiet outboard that is OEDA 3-star rated for emissions.

For ease of use in shallow conditions, all manual tilt engines in this range feature a 2

step shallow water drive function as well as adjustable trim. For added convenience

and functionality, electric start models are available from F15 up with power tilt

models from F20 up and power trim and tilt available on the F25.
