Professional Grade Automatic Acoustic Calibration

One of the most praised and popular Yamaha AV receiver features, YPAO

analyses room acoustics, then precisely calibrates audio parameters to achieve

optimum sound at any of several listening positions. It employs Re ected Sound

Control to correct early re ections for studio-quality sound, as well as DSP

E ect Normalisation, which varies the CINEMA DSP parameters according to the

re ected sounds. The RX-A3020 also performs speaker angle measurements for

more detailed sound adjustment.

Greater Musical Detail and Better Sound Imaging

High-bit, high-sampling extension up to 96 kHz/24-bit can be applied to

44.1/48 kHz music data such as used by CDs or FLAC  les. This provides

enhanced musical detail, such as the movement of a bow on violin strings,

and also improves the sound imaging so that each performer, for example,

can be located in the sound  eld.
