Adjusting input level of sources
respectively
You can adjust input level of sources (the built-in CD player,
tuner and external units connected to this unit, for example
tape deck and video cassette recorder).
(Selectable value: 0 dB, –3 dB, –6 dB, –9 dB)
1 Select a source whose input level you will adjust by using
the INPUT SELECTOR buttons, and then play back the
source. (For source playback, refer to pages 18 to 29.)
2 Press and hold the INPUT TRIM button for more than 2
seconds so that
“TRIM” and the currently selected value
appear on the display.
3 While holding the INPUT TRIM button down, change the
value by turning the VOLUME control.
4 When you finish the adjustment, release the INPUT TRIM
button.
(The selected value is memorized by this operation.)
5 In the same way, adjust input level of other sources.
Adjusting brightness of the display
If desired, you can adjust brightness of the display.
1 Press and hold the DISPLAY button for more than 2
seconds so that “DIMMER±0” appears on the display.
2 Holding the DISPLAY button pressed, turn the VOLUME
control clockwise to increase or counterclockwise to
decrease brightness.
This adjustment can be made even though this unit is in the
standby mode.
Control range
When the power is on: ±0 to –6 (Preset value: ±0)
When this unit is in the standby mode : +3 to –3 (Preset
value: ±0)
