The Pure Direct mode allows you to enjoy pure high fidelity sound on any sources.
Enjoying music CD/SA-CD in
high-quality sound (CD mode)
If the CD mode is enabled when you play back a music
CD or an SA-CD, this player operates in the following
conditions and allows you to enjoy more enhanced quality
sounds.

unused functions to reduce electrical noises from those
circuitries.

noises from the HDMI circuitry.

effect of the electric current driving the motor to
improve the sound quality (when playing back a music
CD).

order to reduce the electrical noise from the
circuitry.
When connecting the AV receiver to the DIGITAL
OUT, ANALOG OUT or BALANCED OUT jacks
of this Player, set HDMI (CD Mode) (p. 41) in the
SETUP menu to Off. This setting disables the HDMI
circuitry (HDMI video/audio output) during the CD
mode and allows you to enjoy a better quality sound.
Enjoying music and movies with
pure high fidelity sounds (Pure
Direct)
