Virtual CINEMA FRONT
Selects whether to use the front 5-channel speaker (Virtual CINEMA FRONT)
configuration.
Settings
Off Disables the front 5-channel speaker configuration.
On Enables the front 5-channel speaker configuration.
Note
Select “On” only when utilizing the Virtual CINEMA FRONT configuration (p.17).
This setting is not available when “Surround” is set to “None”.

Distance
Sets the distance between each speaker and listening position so that sounds from the
speakers reach the listening position at the same time. First, select the unit of distance
from “Meter” or “Feet”.
Choices
Front L, Front R, Center, Surround L, Surround R, Surround Back L, Surround Back R,
Presence L, Presence R, Subwoofer
Setting range
0.30 m to 24.00 m (1.0 ft to 80.0 ft), 0.05 m (0.2 ft) increments
Default
Front L, Front R, Presence L, Presence R, Subwoofer: 3.00 m (10.0 ft)
Center: 2.60 m (8.6 ft)
Others: 2.40 m (8.0 ft)

Level
Adjusts the volume of each speaker.
Choices
Front L, Front R, Center, Surround L, Surround R, Surround Back L, Surround Back R,
Presence L,
Presence R, Subwoofer
Setting range
-10.0 dB to +10.0 dB (0.5 dB increments)
Default
Front L, Front R, Presence L, Presence R, Subwoofer: 0.0 dB
Others: -1.0 dB

Equalizer
Adjusts the tone with an equalizer.
EQ Select
Selects the type of equalizer to be used.
Settings
PEQ
Applies the parametric equalizer values obtained by the YPAO
measurement (p.
33).
GEQ
Select this option when you want to adjust the equalizer manually.
For details, see “Manual equalizer adjustment”.
Off Does not use the equalizer.
Note
“PEQ” is available only when the YPAO has been performed (p.33).
