Distance
Sets the distance between each speaker and listening position so that sounds from the
speakers reach the listening position at the same time. First, select the unit of distance
from “Meter” or “Feet”.
Choices
Front L, Front R, Center, Surround L, Surround R, Subwoofer
Setting range
0.30 m to 24.00 m (1.0 ft to 80.0 ft), 0.05 m (0.2 ft) increments
Default
Front L, Front R, Subwoofer: 3.00 m (10.0 ft)
Center: 2.60 m (8.6 ft)
Others: 2.40 m (8.0 ft)

Level
Adjusts the volume of each speaker.
Choices
Front L, Front R, Center, Surround L, Surround R, Subwoofer
Setting range
-10.0 dB to +10.0 dB (0.5 dB increments)
Default
Front L, Front R, Subwoofer: 0.0 dB
Others: -1.0 dB

Equalizer
Adjusts the tone with an equalizer.
EQ Select
Selects the type of equalizer to be used.
Settings
GEQ
Select this option when you want to adjust the equalizer manually.
For details, see “Manual equalizer adjustment”.
Off Does not use the equalizer.

Manual equalizer adjustment

Set “EQ Select” to “GEQ”.

Use the cursor keys (q/w) to select “Channel” and the cursor
keys (e/r) to select the desired speaker channel.

Use the cursor keys (q/w) to select the desired band
(frequency) and the cursor keys (e/r) to adjust the gain.
Setting range
-6.0 dB to +6.0 dB

To exit from the menu, press SETUP.

Test Tone
Enables/disables the test tone output. Test tone output helps you to adjust the speaker
balance or equalizer while confirming its effect.
Settings
Off Does not output test tones.
On
Outputs test tones automatically when you adjust the speaker balance or
equalizer.
